About My Yarn Oasis
Hi, I’m Crystal, the maker behind My Yarn Oasis. I’m a wife, mom of six, and full-time IT professional who would really rather be crocheting. My life is pretty full, but apparently, there’s always room for more yarn.
I spend my workdays in technology, so making something with my hands gives me a different kind of satisfaction. Especially when that something ends up with tiny antlers, a squishy belly, or a face I get a little too attached to before putting it up for sale.
But crochet means more to me than cute things and a yarn collection we don’t need to discuss.
It has given me something steady to turn to through some of the hardest seasons of my life. When my mind won’t quiet down or the day feels heavy, there’s comfort in having something small to work on. Sometimes I finish an entire creature. Sometimes I manage a few stitches. Both count.
That’s the heart of My Yarn Oasis. It’s the little corner of my very busy life where I can breathe, create, and let my imagination take over.
Here you’ll find soft plushies, whimsical woodland creatures, and little things made to bring a smile. I have a particular weakness for making things that look like they belong in an enchanted forest and also need a hug.
Every piece is crocheted by me, somewhere between work, family, and saying “let me finish this row” when I absolutely mean several more rows.
My hope is that something I’ve loved making becomes something you love having. A gift for someone special, a little comfort on a hard day, or a slightly unnecessary creature you saw and immediately decided was coming home with you.
I understand that last one completely.

I had messaged the seller with a couple of questions and she had responded back promptly and guided me through the best options for my order since it’s for a baby and not an older child or just for me. She was so sweet 10/10 customer service and shipping took no time. I will definitely be buying more items from here and her craftsmanship is very sturdy not flimsy at all, I can tell with care that this will be around as my son grows for years ♥️

Crystal communicated with me immediately and we swapped pictures and ideas until we agreed on the design and colors. Crystal was extremely helpful and easy to work with. And the price was just right! I'm so happy with how Hank the hawk turned out! Thank you so much Crystal! Here he is next to my rainbow Dino.

TiffanyApr 6, 2026I messaged Crystal asking if a customization could be made on the cockatiel in her store. We got to talking & I told her that I had recently lost my dearly beloved cockatiel, Spark. What I was asking for was not possible but she offered to make me a custom Spark. I sent photos for her to work from and know that at one point she even started over because she wasn’t going to be able to do what she was wanting to accomplish. It extended the time it took to get him but it was 100% worth the wait. I cried when I pulled him out of the box. She captured him so perfectly and added special details that could not have been simple to do. Pictures do no justice. She went above and beyond what I had imagined and I could not be happier. She is so thoughtful and puts so much care into her work. Etsy needs to allow more characters for reviews!
andeliherMar 31, 2026My friend absolutely adored her crochet cockatiel! Crystal was so kind and accommodating; she made sure it looked exactly like my friend’s bird. Her communication with me to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it went above and beyond and her attention to detail is amazing! She also packaged it beautifully and included an adorable “Heart of the Hollow” crochet heart. Would definitely purchase from her again!
